Depression Presentations We Treat

Dr. Siyami Takha, DNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC

Dual-certified psychiatric and family nurse practitioner · Founder, Awesome Experience Psychiatric Services

Dr. Takha holds dual board certification in psychiatric-mental health nursing and family practice nursing, so a depression evaluation with her considers both what is happening in your mind and what may be happening in your body. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from UMass Global in 2019 and has spent five years treating mood disorders across Southern Maryland and the DC metro area.

Depression care at Awesome Experience starts with a full psychiatric evaluation, not a prescription pad. Medication is one tool among several, prescribed only when it fits your history, your goals, and your body.

  • Comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis
  • Medication management for mood disorders
  • Supportive psychotherapy
  • Care for adults, ages 18 through 65 and older
  • Services offered in English and French
